Accessibility statement

Our target

We want masterpiano.com and its free piano tools to be usable by every student and teacher. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This statement covers the public website, including the tools listed on our page for teachers.

What we aim for

  • Every page and tool works by keyboard, touch or mouse, and on phones, tablets and computers.
  • Pages use headings, labels and landmarks that screen readers announce, and text and controls meet AA contrast.
  • Pages reflow to 320 pixels wide and stay usable when text is zoomed to 200%.
  • The tools need no account, no download and no microphone.
  • Worksheets, chord and scale charts can be printed.

Known limits

  • Music notation is drawn as a picture. Screen readers announce the exercise, but not every note in it, so note reading games depend on sight.
  • Some games count a round against the clock. A practice mode without a timer is not available in every game yet.
  • The perfect pitch test depends on hearing.

We have not had an independent audit yet. Where a page falls short of the target, we treat it as a bug.

Report a barrier

If something on our website stops you or a student, tell us on the contact page, with the page address and what happened. We answer within five working days and, where we can, offer the content another way while we fix it. MasterPiano is made by Imhura Inc.
