MasterPiano in ChatGPT and Claude
Ask for piano sheet music at your level, fingering, how hard a piece is or a sight-reading exercise. The score appears in the chat with a play button, its level and its approximate ABRSM grade.
Free, no account. Read only: it never changes anything in your chat or account.
What you can ask
I'm about grade 3. Suggest a Baroque piece I could learn next.

What fingering should I use for Bach's Minuet in G?

Give me a grade 1 sight-reading exercise in G major.

Five things it does
Find sheet music: by title, composer, era, ABRSM grade or MasterPiano level.
Show and play a piece: the opening bars as notation, played with a real piano sound.
Suggest fingering: finger numbers for both hands on the opening bars.
Check a piece's difficulty: its level, approximate grade, what makes it hard and easier pieces to learn first.
Create a sight-reading exercise: a fresh exercise at your level, in the key and time you choose.
Every card links to the piece's page on MasterPiano, where you can read the whole score and practise it with live feedback on your piano.

Questions
Is the MasterPiano plugin free?
Yes. The plugin is free in ChatGPT and Claude and needs no MasterPiano account.
Which pieces can it show?
Classical piano pieces in the public domain: composers who died by 1925, from Bach and Mozart to Chopin, Debussy and Joplin. Songs still under copyright, such as film, pop and game music, are not available in the plugin.
Why does the card show only the first bars?
The card in the chat shows up to 16 bars so it stays quick to read. The full score is on the piece's page at masterpiano.com, linked from the card.
Can it listen to me play?
No. The chat cannot hear your piano. Open the piece on masterpiano.com to practise it with live feedback from your microphone or a MIDI keyboard.
How are levels and grades worked out?
MasterPiano reads the notes of each piece (speed, stretches, accidentals, leaps, hands together) and places it on a level from 1 to 100, with the ABRSM grade it is closest to. The grade is an estimate, not an official ABRSM listing.
